Service Description

Integrative Somatic Therapy is an invitation into a vast landscape of holistic, body-centered approaches to healing that honor the deep and complex connection between body and mind. Our life experiences—including difficult or overwhelming ones—can shape patterns in our bodies, thoughts, emotions, and relationships. This work supports your system in safely exploring and releasing patterns that may be manifesting as pain or dysfunction, while also building a greater sense of ease, awareness, and inner stability as you learn to reinhabit yourself. What to expect: Each session is thoughtfully tailored to you and may include practices such as: - somatic dialogue - reiki and energy work - movement therapy - gentle hands-on bodywork - breath and awareness practices - parts work - meditation - creative expression and play - other body–mind–centered approaches. Sessions move at a pace that feels safe, collaborative, and respectful of your process, meeting you where you truly are. Having access to the range of options allows the work to unfold organically: some sessions may be gentle and restorative, while others may open pathways for release more exuberantly through curiosity, movement, or playful exploration. Together we cultivate embodied self-awareness, clearer boundaries, and a deeper sense of safety within yourself. As your nervous system begins to update old protective responses, new possibilities for connection, resilience, and well-being can emerge. Somatic therapy can reach layers of experience that traditional talk therapy may not always access, especially when stress or trauma is held in the nervous system and body. It can be a powerful complement to psychotherapy and other mental health support, and collaboration with your therapist or care provider is always welcome.
