Why Support Local Businesses
Lately I’ve been trying to be more intentional about where I spend my money, especially for services around the Fraser Valley. It’s easy to default to big companies or whatever shows up first online, but I keep hearing people talk about the importance of supporting local businesses. I get the idea in theory, but I’m curious how much difference it really makes in everyday life. Why do you personally think supporting local Fraser Valley businesses actually matters?

For me, it became obvious after a few years of living here. When you support local businesses, you’re usually dealing with people who live in the same communities and actually care about their reputation. I’ve had way better communication and follow-up with locals than with larger companies. Using fraser valley local made it easier to find those businesses without digging through ads. It also feels good knowing the money stays in the area and supports jobs and families nearby, not some head office far away.
